Hi there! Looking for some Gears of War 2 cheats?
Now that the smoke has cleared and Gears of War 2 has officially launched, it’s time to cover everything that’s been going on. The reviews have spoken, etching in a Metacritic score of 93, which is damn good! A mere percentage point lower than the original Gears of War (94), which might as well be the same thing. And considering that Gears of War 2 is essentially competing with the original’s punch of originality, its definitely doing very, very well.
If you remember last week, we covered the Gears of War 2 Midnight Launch Events that went down all over the globe. We got wind of a video of one of these Gears of War 2 release day get-togethers, so peep your eyes:
Everyone’s been talking about Gears of War 2’s week-one sales, which are nothing short of spectacular. VGCharts.com reported that Gears of War 2 launched in the number one spot (not like we couldn’t see that coming). Still, it surpassed expectations, easily topping 2 million sales in its first few days, and beating out Sony’s triple-A contender Resistance 2 by a gigantic margin, with Resistance 2 pulling a comparatively puny 304,958. Of course Gears of War 2 came out 3 days later, so it came out that far ahead despite Resistance 2 having a half-week head start!
Lastly, we’ve heard that someone achieved the seemingly insurmountable Gears Of War 2: Horde Wave 50 Completed On Insane. Gearheadsofwar.com posted their evidence, stating “We started from Wave 1 on the ‘Day One’ map and whittled away at this for about three days. The dirty, dirty Horde didn’t stand a damn chance! Forget about throwing the kitchen sink at us, the Locusts threw the damn house! We have it all on film, baby!” Congratulations! We wonder who else can beat something like that…

The official release date is 11/07/08 for Gears of War 2, which means that midnight tonight heralds the beginning of the end for the Locust Horde!
Website Gaming bits mentioned a host of Gears of War 2 Developer Midnight Launch Events. Los Angeles, New York, Bellvue, and London are all popping off tonight. Other than that, many stores such as Best Buy are staying open late so everyone can get their mitts on this most anticipated release. A quick search should reveal a retailer in your area that has a 12:01am sale for tonight’s Gears of War 2 release date…
If that ain’t enough for ya, we’ve gotten hold of the first ten minutes of Gears of War 2 leaked on GameTrailers!
Finally, take note of GameCherry’s report that “Epic Gets Creative With GOW2 Resales”. Five multiplayer maps from the original Gears of War, which have been updated to support the improved Gears of War 2 gameplay, can only be installed once onto your Xbox 360 hard drive. This allows developer Epic Games to fight used sales of the game. So be warned that there’s no way to access these classic Gears of War maps if you buy a used copy. And don’t be surprised if used copies begin cropping up in the next few days…
Of course you’ll be busy ripping through Gears of War 2, but don’t think we wont have more Gears of War 2 rumors and news, and of course the all-important Gears of War 2 cheats!

The flood of Gears of War 2 cheats will soon be upon us! Until that time, let’s keep up to date with all of the Gears of War 2 news and rumors flying left and right…
Some opinions on the Gears of War 2 Multiplayer feel have surfaced. Gameguru.in, in a slightly befuddling comment, said: “There is no more sticking to walls, players can wall bounce but again it’s not as fast enough. They can also break out of their slide before going into cover, the party system very similar to Halo games made by Bungie.” Do we hear the squeaking of players a little too attached to what they’re used to? How much you want to bet the changes will prove to provide better balance and playability. Also sounds like some players that are going to be wanting some cheats for Gears of War 2, heh…
A little piece calling itself Gears of War 2 Spoilers (Sort of) comes to us via Chris Buffa of GameDaily, who writes: “What Microsoft doesn’t want you to know about its big, bad sequel.” If you choose to take a look, be warned, you may see stuff (but not what you looking for, ala Gears of War 2 Xbox 360 cheats) you don’t want spoiled!
We’ve also got some news we’re not happy to pass along: CliffyB - Gears of War 2 “definitely not” Coming to PC. N4G said: “Gameplayer spoke with Gears of War 2 lead designer CliffyB today and unearthed the info that unlike the original, there is no way the sequel will come to PC. He also mentions its dismal PS3 potential.” We guess we won’t be providing any Gears of War 2 PC cheats…

We’ve collected the hottest recent Gears of War 2 cheats and Gears of War 2 news and rumors and have put them together into one neat, easily digestible list!
First off there’s news of a very reasonable priced Gears of War 2 Limited Edition. GameXtract wrote: “I like getting my video games cheaper. Especially when I don’t have to wait for three months till everyone else doesn’t give a dam about the game. It looks like ToysRus is trying to get an upper hand on pre-orders this year with Gears of War 2. The limited edition is listed on the site for $59.99 instead of the regular $69.99 found at many other retailers.” Sounds pretty nice… it’s like extra Gears of War 2 toys for the price of the regular game.
Up next are the Leaked Gears of War 2 multiplayer screenshots. According to Split-screen: “In order to refrain from spoilers another little piggy sent us the list of multiplayer maps and a couple of snaps, in case you are one of those who loves whispering Marcus Fenix into someone’s ears then its time to get those chainsaw’s outta here.” The Gears of War 2 screenshots are pretty fuzzy, as they look like pictures taken with someone’s camera of the game playing on a TV. Still, it’s an early peek at what we can expect…
Lastly, Epic themselves (via CVG) have said a pretty bold statement regarding their efforts on Gears of War 2: “After two years of pouring our heart and passion into Gears of War 2, the team is immensely happy with what we’ve created,” said design director Cliff Bleszinski. “This is Epic’s best work yet, and we can’t wait to see the response from fans and newcomers to the series alike.” Remember that the game has gone gold and is being manufactured for release! Of course, there are still several weeks before we’ll all be able to play it.

There are a some interesting, funny, and just plain weird bits that we’ve found from our favorite source for Gears of War 2 news and rumors, and of course - Gears of War 2 Cheats.
The Gears of War 2 Experience: E-Day Emergency Call is a way for having some fun and expressing your excitement for the upcoming Gears of War 2 release date. A clever, if a bit silly marketing scheme by Microsoft Game Studios provides a toll-free number you can call and leave a message as “a terrified Seran on Emergence Day.” The number is 1-800-598-6379. According to teamxbox.com: “Get your friends to help and let loose. Remember, it’s E-Day, so nobody’s seen a Locust or heard of Delta Squad before. And bonus points for keeping the language fairly clean. We will immortalize the best five entries on our site.” There are some standard rules you’ll need to agree to, so you might want to look at the official post. Time to practice your best grizzled marine voice and see if you can pull off the fear of one of the Gears of War 2 soldiers!
Second, we’ve got the goofy Gears of War 2 Limited Edition Energy Drink. According to ButtonMasher.com: “Microsoft and Demon Energy Drink are teaming up to run a promotion at the Gears of War 2 release date. The promo will include limited edition Demon Energy Drink cans and bottles as well as a competition to win the first copies of Gears of War 2 in the world.” How exactly will increased caffeine blood levels help you get ready for Gears of War Two? Hmm… seems like if you’re thinking of being a Gears of War 2 sniper, all that “energy” might make your hands shaky!

They aren’t quite Gears of War 2 cheats, but the released Gears of War 2 Achievments will certainly whet your
